National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Portal 2022 is a Novel initiative of the Government of India for providing various educational NSP Scholarships for students who belong to SC/ST/OBC/EBC/Minority Categories.
Students can log in to NSP Scholarship Portal for the Online Registration of Scholarship Form for the year 2022. In this article, we will share with you how to apply for Student Scholarship, Eligibility Criteria, Renewal of Application and NSP Scholarship Status.
The main aim of the NSP Portal is to sanction and disbursal Central Government Sponsored Scholarship Schemes directly to beneficiary Students.

NSP Scholarship Scheme Eligibility 2022
Students who want to know the eligibility criteria for applying NSP Scholarship 2022, will have to follow some simple steps:-
- First of all, to check the eligibility criteria, you have to visit the NSP Portal
- On top of the homepage, you will see the ‘Services’ menu. In the drop-down, select ‘Scheme Eligibility‘
- Further, you have to choose your Domicile State/UT
• Course Level
• Religion
• Caste/Community Category
• Gender
• Parent Annual Income
• Whether Disabled
• Finally, enter the Captcha Code and click the ‘Check Eligibility‘ button to get the information whether you are eligbile for the scheme or not
Documents Required for NSP Scholarship
The students who are applying for NSP Scholarship will have to upload the below-given documents during the NSP Scholarship Portal Registration.
- Student Passport size Photo (Mandatory)
- Institution Verification Form (Mandatory)
- Income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (Mandatory)
- Declaration of the Student (Mandatory)
- Self Attested Community Certificate (Mandatory)

Student Registration in NSP Scholarship Portal
Applicants who want to register themselves for NSP Scholarship will have to follow the steps given below:-
- Firstly, Students will have to visit the NSP Scholarship Portal
- Now click on ‘New Registration,’ here you will have to agree to the conditions for obtaining NSP Scholarship and click ‘Continue.’
- In the next step, you have to fill the Scholarship Registration Form with the following details
- The state of Domicile, Scholarship Category, Name of Student, Scheme Type, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, Email id,
- Bank IFSC Code and confirm the same, Bank Account Number and confirm the same, Bank Name, Identification Detail, and enter the Captcha Code displayed.
- Further, enter the ‘Register‘ button and a Student Application ID will be generated.
- Lastly, you can click on the ‘Continue’ button for Login.
Fresh Application in NSP Scholarship Login
- When you login for the first time after Registration, you will be asked to enter your Application ID, Password and Captcha, then finally click on the ‘Login‘ button.
- Further, you have to enter a five-digit OTP confirmation and create ‘New Password’ and enter the ‘Submit’ option.
- After Login, you will have to fill in some more details like Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and Annual Family Income, etc.
- Further, you have to fill your ‘Academic Details’ and ‘Basic Details’, click ‘Save & Continue‘
- After that, fill your Contact Details, Scheme Details and Upload the required documents prescribed in it and click on ‘Final Submission‘
Check NSP Scholarship Application (Form) Status
To check your National Scholarship Portal Scholarship Form Status, you will have to Login into your account by entering your Application id, Password and Captcha Code.
After Login, on the left side of the homepage, you will find ‘Check Your Status“, click on it to find your Application Form Status.
Scholarship Renewal Application at NSP Portal
- To check National Merit Scholarship renewal 2022, you will have to visit the NSP Portal
On top of the homepage, click Login, then click on “Apply for Renewal.’ - Further, you have to enter your Application id, Password, Captcha Code and click ‘Login‘ button
Search For Registered Institutes at NSP 2.0
Students can check whether their Institutes are registered with National Scholarship Portal or not by following the simple procedure:-
- Firstly, you have to visit the official NSP Scholarship Portal
- On the right side of the homepage, click on the ‘Search For Institute‘
- Now select details like Institution State, Institution District, Institute/College/ITI and enter School/College/ITI Name (Optional) and enter ‘Get Institution List’
- You should select the options correctly in the National Scholarship Portal, or else you will not get the institution list.
- Finally, you can also Search Institutes based on NCVT Code Master.
Scheme-Wise List of Applications Processed for Scholarship
- Firstly, you have to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Services’ option on the menu bar
- In the drop-down, click on the ‘List of Applications Processed for Scholarship‘ tab
- Now you have to select the following details
- Academic Year
- Application Type
- Ministry
- Scheme
- State
- District
- Name
- Mobile Number
- After that, enter the captcha code in the box and click on the ‘Submit’ button
- Finally, you can see the status of the application process for the scheme you have applied for.
Institute KYC Registration
- First of all, visit the official Scholarship Portal of India
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Institute KYC Registration Form‘ under the ‘Services‘ tab on the main menu bar
- Now, you will be redirected to the NSP Portal
- After that, you have to validate your AISHE/DISE/NCVT Code by entering it in the given column
- Subsequently, enter the captcha code shown on the screen
- In the last step, click on the ‘Submit‘ button
